[edit] Film Synopsis

Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, Han, Chewie, C-3PO, and R2-D2 are all on the secret base on the Ice Planet Hoth, when something falls from space nearby. Luke goes to investigate, but is captured by a large yeti-like creature. He is able to escape being eaten but gets caught in a snow storm. As he is about to pass out from exhaustion and nearly freezing, he sees the spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi who tells him to go to Dagobah and find a Jedi Master named Yoda to complete his training.

Back at the Base, Han sets out to find his buddy Luke. After his Tauntaun dies from the cold, Han is able to find Luke and keep in alive by using the warmth of the dead animal. The next morning, Wedge Antilies, a rebel pilot, finds them and brings them back to the base, just in time to discover that the strange obstruction from space was an Imperial Probe Droid that sent to whereabouts of the base to Darth Vader and his army of Stormtroopers. After barley surviving the full on attack, they all flew off with Han, Chewie, Leia, and 3PO heading to the next Rebel base, and with Luke and R2 following his vision and heading to Dagobah.

Darth Vader sends out a group of Bounty Hunters to catch Han Solo and the others, including the notorious Bobba Fett. Han and the others run off to the Benspin Mining Facility, a.k.a. Cloud City, to hide out with Han's old buddy, Lando Calrissian. However, the Empire has beat them there, and has convinced Lando that joining with the Empire is in his stations best interest, and captures our heroes. Vader tortures Han, freezes hm in molten carbonite, and gives him to Bobba as an award for tracking him down. However, Lando, regretting betraying his Good Friend, helps Leia, Chewie, and 3PO escape.

On Dagobah, Luke continues his training under Jedi Master Yoda. While training, Luke see's his friends through the Force, and see that they are in Danger. To the dismay of Yoda, and the ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi, He rushes over to Bespin just late of Han's Freezing, but runs into Darth Vader. Through an Epic Battle, Vader cuts off Luke's hand and reveals that he is his Father. Refusing to believe this, Luke jumps off the platform they were battling on and, through a series of helpful tunnels, ends up at the bottom of the floating station.

As Leia and the others escape, Leia senses that they need to go under the station, where they find Luke hanging on for his life. They pull him in the ship and fly off to the next Rebel Base, where Luke gets a robotic hand, and begins planning to save Han.
