[edit] Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
The now Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, and Master Obi-Wan Kenobi are in the midst of a giant space battle above Coruscant on a mission to save the recently captured Chancellor Palpatine. Upon finding the ship Palpatine was in, they discover that he was captured not only by Count Dooku, but by a more recent threat of General Grevious, a mostly mechanized being. When they find the Chancellor, they fight Dooku once again, but this time Anakin is able to defeat, and decapitate, this huge threat to the galaxy. When the Jedi reach the bridge of the ship, Grevious sends the ship spiraling out of control to the planet below, giving him time to escape. Anakin's skills as a pilot, however, was able to land the ship well enough that they all came out alive.
When that fiasco is over, Anakin is presented with a situation unlike any he faced during the Clone Wars when Padme informs him that she is pregnant. Every night after this news, Anakin has dreams of Padme dying in child birth, very similar to the dreams he had of his mother just a few years ago.
Shortly thereafter, Palpatine ordered that Anakin be appointed to the Jedi High Council, so that he could report back to them on their dealings. The Jedi agree to let him be on the council, but not to grant him the rank of Jedi Master, a move compltely unheard of, and one that causes offense and confusion to young Skywalker. To add to the confusion, Obi-Wan informs Anakin that the council wants him to spy on the chancellor, a move that not even Obi-Wan agrees with.
With their being nothing he can do about most of his problems, Anakin tries to seek a solution to the dreams of Padme. When the Jedi are not able to give him a solution that will work for him, he is surprised when Chancellor Palpatine tells him that there may be a way to protect her on the Dark Side of the Force.
However, the Chancellor also informs him that General Grevious had been spotted on the planet Utapau, of which Anakin leaves to tell the council right away. They decide to send Obi-Wan to confront hims, to Anakin's dismay. Anakin goes and sees Obi-Wan off, neither of them realizing that it will be the last time they meet as friends.
While Obi-Wan is away, Anakin realizes that Chancellor Palpatine is actually the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious, who has been orchestrating the entire war on both sides. Anakin threatens to kill him, but when Palpatine reminds Anakin of the possible power of saving his wife, Anakin simply leaves to inform the Jedi council of the Chancellor's real identity.
Back on Utapau, Obi-Wan finds and kills Grevious, by shooting the little bit of the General that was actually a living thing, his heart.
Anakin informs Mace Windu of Palpatine's real identity, and he goes out to confront him. Anakin follows after, despite Master Windu telling him to stay. When Mace is about to strike the final blow killing Palpatine, Anakin comes in giving him a very literal example of having to choose the Light Side, letting Mace kill Palpatine because he is to dangerous, or the Dark Side, saving Palpatine and following him. Anakin chooses the latter, Plapatine renames him Darth Vader, and sends him on his first mission, to destroy the Jedi Temple, and kill everyone inside.
Palpatine then initiates Order 66, which was a secret order for the Clone Troopers to kill all the Jedi. Both Obi-Wan and Yoda barely survive the attack of their clone troops, and return to Coruscant to see what happened. They are intercepted by Senator Bail Organa, who tells them of the what happened and the Dangers that await them. They return to Coruscant anyways, and go to the Jedi Temple, only to find recordings of Anakin killing all the Jedi from young to old.
Anakin than goes to Mustafar to destroy the other Seperatist leaders. After he had killed them all, he is surprisingly met by Padme and Obi-Wan, bothe of which were shocked by his turn to the Dark Side. Enraged that Padme has not decided to join him on the Dark Side, he attempts to kill her, but Obi-Wan is able to save her. From there Anakin and Obi-Wan have an epic battle, of which ends with Anakin losing his remaining three limbs and being left for dead. Obi-Wan flees. Shortly After, Darth Sidious arrives and begins to rebuild Anakin to the iconic form of Darth Vader that we know now.
Obi-Wan, however, flew off with Padme who goes into labor. She give birth to twins, a boy, who she names Luke, and a girl, who she names Leia. She than give up her life, leaving the Jedi to determine the children's fate.
When Vader comes to, he asks if Padme is still alive, to which Sidious says the he had killed his own wife, finalizing the death of the man who was once Anakin Skywalker, and finishing the birth of Darth Vader
As for the children, Senator Organa decides to raise the girl, and Obi-Wan decides to bring the boy to be raised by Anakin's Step brother on Tatooine, but informing them that Obi-Wan will secretly be watching him as he grew.
