 Film Synopsis
Young Obi-Wan Kenobi and his master Qui-Gon Jinn are assigned to protect Queen Padme Amidalla against a growing threat of the Trade Federation. On there way to Coruscant to plea a case to protect the queen's planet of Naboo, they crash land their ship on Tatooine where they meet a young slave named Anakin Skywalker, who helps them earn money to repair the ship, and in return, Master Jinn is able to free Anakin from his slavery and promises him that he will be trained as a Jedi.
Upon arriving on Coruscant, the queen discovers that the senate she was pleading for help from is corrupted by the Trade Federation, forcing her to put a vote of no confidence in the Supreme Chancellor. This causes an uproar and ends up allowing the Senator from Naboo, Palpatine, to be elected as the new Chancellor.
Also on Coruscant, Qui-Gon pleaded to Yoda and the Jedi Council to allow Anakin to be trained, which they would not allow claiming he is to old for the training.
Upon returning to Naboo, they fall into the middle a war between the Naboo and the Trade Federation. The Naboo end up winning the war, but not without the casualty of Qui-Gon Jinn at the hands of Darth Maul, who Obi-Wan is able to destroy shortly after he killed his former master. Obi-Wan promises Qui-Gon that he will train Anakin as a Jedi, which the Jedi Council reluctantly agrees to.
