From Disney's Hollywood Studios Wiki
The Backstage Pass is a retired walking tour attraction that closed in 2001.
 Attraction Synopsis
Entering through part of what is now the Studio Backlot Tour entrance, guest would see a short video in connection to the later Making of Series Video, and than pass through the Jim Henson's Creature Shop. The second stop on the tour is a re-creation of the set of Home Improvement. In addition to getting a bird's-eye view of the furnishings from a catwalk above, one member of the tour group is selected to participate in a demonstration of "blue-screen" technology - the guest is virtually "inserted" into a scene from the show, and broadcast on monitors giving the appearance that he/she is acting opposite Tim Allen, similar to the technology used in the Superstar Television Show. The next section of the tour takes you past working soundstages, which Disney rents to a variety of television productions. The final segment of the tour allows guests to wander past sets from the live-action film 101 Dalmatians, which starred actress Glenn Close as the evil Cruella de Vil. Also on display are costumes from the film, including several of Cruella's exotic outfits.
This attraction was formerly part of the Studio Backlot Tour. When they moved the Tour from the area that is currently the Magic of Disney Animation, to the end of Mickey Avenue, they cut this walking tour off from the entire attraction, to shorten the length of the overall experience.
The attraction and soundstages closed to make way for Who Wants to be a Millionaire - Play It!
