The Walt Disney World Trivia Book Volume II
The definitive guide for Walt Disney World Trivia
by Matt Hochberg

August 2, 2006 - Odds are if you've ever had any sort of trivia question related to Walt Disney World, you've somehow found your way over to DisneyWorldTrivia.com. That site is run by Lou Mongello and he's also the author of now two books all about Disney World Trivia called "The Walt Disney World Trivia Book" Volume 2: More secrets, History & fun facts behind the magic. Lou's first book came out in 2004 and he's followed up that succesful book with a second edition two years later.

Unlike many other books, this second book has nothing that was included that was in the first book. Both books are 224 pages long and for anyone who's ever loved "useless trivia" or just wants to impress their family with useless trivia, this is the book for you. What's great about the second edition (much like the first edition) is that it's an easy read. The book is layed out in a "quiz format". Half the chapter lists questions with multiple choice answers and the second half of the chapter lists answers with elaboration on the answer. The book is divided up by the different parks (and then a chapter for trivia about areas not inside a theme park).

What I really enjoy about the book is the layout of it. The "quiz style" makes it easy to look over what you're interested in and quickly browse between trivia items. This book could have read like "War & Peace" with pages and pages of explanations but Mongello does a superb job in putting these bits of trivia in an easy to digest format. The book is great for kids who can easily read it as well and would make any trip to Walt Disney World far more fun by making the time in lines, on a plane, in a car, etc simply fly by.

Let me also say that I'm not a trivia buff by any means. I enjoy facts and oddball information but I'm no Jeopardy contestant. I picked up this book and was hooked on the spot. My girlfriend loved it (and got copies for her friends for their trip down to Disney World) so this really is a great book for anyone going down there. The price is right for them (Volume I & II for $20 at the book's website!). After you pickup your favorite park touring book, be sure to get a copy of the Walt Disney World Trivia Book Volume II.
