50's Prime Time Cafe Review

The 50's Prime Time Cafe is a throw back to households of the 1950's coupled with a nostalgic look at the many television shows that were popular then.  Prime Time Cafe is furnished with replicas of everything from the time period and the restaurant has a kitchen look to it, with the idea behind your experience that you are in "mom's kitchen" and she is making your favorite childhood meals while "family members" serve you.

In addition to the decor, 50's Prime TIme Cafe features your waiters acting just like your parents might have when you were a child and enforcing rules such as no elbows on the counter and ensuring everyone eats their vegetables.  Just like the parents from the beloved sitcoms of the 1950's, those who do not comply with the rules, may be subjected to some "punishment", such as having their food fed to them or being forced to stand in the corner.  It's all in good fun and makes for some entertaining antics while you eat. It should be noted that your experience at this restaurant depends largely on your server. Some are more entertaining than others. It should be pointed out that shy children(and adults) may not find this the best place to eat.

The food at 50's Prime Time is very good, and among the best choices for a sit down meal in Hollywood Studios.  The pot roast, fried chicken and meat loaf have become favorites of those who come each trip to Hollywood Studios and the food is very tasty.  The shakes are very large and very good and the desserts are also top notch (try the s'mores for a great group dessert!).  Nearly all of the food to be found at 50's Prime Time Cafe is a good choice and the quality and portion sizes stand out as good values.

50's Prime Time Cafe has also become more and more popular over the years and reservations are recommended.  Walk ups can be harder to come by than in recent years and clearly many guests are returning after some good meals here.  Overall, 50's Prime Time Cafe is a good value that features good food with fun entertainment.  While it may not have the best food you can find at Walt Disney World property, its decor, entertainment and comfort foods combine to make 50's Prime Time Cafe a solid choice for eating at Hollywood Studios.
