Comments: Situated in a shady part of the Studios near Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Studio Catering Co. used to be a general counter service restaurant that offered the usual sort of food that could be found at the Studios, burgers, chicken and drinks. It's been closed for a few months between 2004 and 2005 and re-opened with a whole new Mediterranean cuisine that left park guests with a love it or leave it opinion, so once again Disney tweaked the menu and we now have a cross of wraps, sandwiches, salads and roasted meats.
The selection of food is fairly wide and the most recent change was in response to some guests who did not like the mediterranean offerings of the wraps that debuted in 2005. Personally, I loved it and am sad to see it go and find the current menu lacking. If you were never a fan of the old menu or never knew about it, you won't care much. Studio Catering Co. still offers a nice change of the "usual theme park food". Some good choices are the Chicken Caesar wrap or the Grilled Chicken.
For kids, the grilled chicken wrap is good and for the pickier eaters, they still have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich avaiable. The only issue is the serving sizes are on the small size. It's probably a great place for folks on diets or those who never seem to be able to finish their meals. Additionally, the outdoor seating area is covered from the sun, and gentle breezes tend to sweep in. Perfect for afternoon rests while the kids run amock in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
