The 50's Prime Time Cafe is a genuince replica of how food and life
were 60 years ago. Disney went all out and furnished the whole place
with authentic replicas from the salt shakers to the napkin holders
to the televisions that play 50's sitcoms all the time. And we cannot forget(even after some readers "reminded" us) about the "family" that frequents the Prime Time Cafe. From Mom and Pop to Grandmom, this entertainment is great! These characters are very similiar to the TV families of the 50's sitcoms, and reminds me of the 50's version of the family in the Carousel of Progress, which used to be in the Magic Kingdom. It should be noted that your experience at this restaurant depends largely on your server. Some are more entertaining than others. It should be pointed out that shy children(and adults) may not find this the best place to eat. Often, servers will publically ridicule you for not finishing your food, elbows on the table, etc. It's all in good fun, but younger children may be quite nervous. We wish the food was as good as the decor, as it seems there's not much here that would make you go out of your way. Most of the food tastes like something you could find in your supermarket's microwavable section. If your looking for gourmet, look somewhere else. If your looking for a nice place for lunch or just somewhere to relax for a bit while you get some coffee, this is the place. The food isn't terrible, but the price to portion ratio is a bit off. Don't expect a cheap bill from this place. |
