All along Sunset Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevards, you will find windows above street level that advertise fake companies and services. Aside from being great fodder for this column, these windows do have a story behind them and there is a reason why it's there. On Sunset Boulevard there is one such window advertising the offices of the International Brotherhood of Second Assistant Directors.

First, it's simply a funny sign because it's rather absurd of an organization to have for such an unimportant position in films. But aside from a good laugh, there is a reason why this sign is at the Studios and it's really an inside joke. Sunset Boulevard opened in 1994, 5 years after the Studios opened and an attraction that was open from the opening of the Disney-MGM Studios was Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. Imagineers made this window as an inside joke referencing Indy as in the attraction, the second assistant director tells the park guests who volunteered as extras not to worry about a dangerous stunt because he will be "standing right behind them"!
