While some of the hidden details featured in this column have connections to the early days of the Studios, not so this week. If you've walked past the Hollywood Brown Derby at all in the past few years, you may have noticed a painted cloud and blue sky facade on the side of the Playhouse Disney building. I wouldn't blame you for not noticing it since there isn't much there to impress anyone or anything.

These painted clouds may seem rather out of place or without purpose but they are actually a relic of an old advertising campaign. Along the way in the running of the Studios, Disney executives saw an opportunity to promote Disney in the films in the parks and it makes a whole lot of sense to advertise new films in the Studios since that park is all about films. So back in 2004 when Chicken Little was set to open, Disney decided to really go all out and advertise Chicken Little.

The advertisment made sense with the Chicken Little motif there; the clouds and sky were a reference to the whole "sky is falling" storyline of Chicken Little. Once the advertising campaign ran it's course, Chicken Little was removed along with the missing part of the sky was painted in and the title was removed, yet the clouds and sky remain.
