Stroller parking at Muppetvision 3D

Change is inevitable at Walt Disney World and sometimes when something is removed, it can still be used for something else. Disney Imagineers are not ones to let something perfectly good go unused. At Muppetvision 3D, we see a classic case of this as there is a rather ornate structure that covers the stroller parking area in front of Muppetvision 3D, but what you may not know is why this structure was built.  Here's a hint: it wasn't to cover strollers.

The structure that now covers up strollers was actually used for FASTPASS machines. Back in 2002, Imagineers decided to pull the plug on FASTPASS at Muppetvision since the attraction's high crowd capacity meant it didn't really need FASTPASS anymore. While the FASTPASS machines were removed, Imagineers decided to keep the structure that is covered it and used it instead to be a stroller parking area. While stroller parking may not be a wonderous advent, nonetheless, you now know that why the structure is really there.
