Monster's Inc Signs

Nobody tells a story better than Disney's Imagineers and while we love to sing their praises in elaborate attractions such as the Tower of Terror or Toy Story Midway Mania, their work extends to so many other aspects of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

At the Monster's Inc meet-n-greet area near the exit to the Backlot Tour, there's so much more to see than just Mike and Sully.  Imagineers have strewn the area with visual gags and signs to help establish the idea that you are in Monstropolis.  And while the set isn't as ornate as Monster's Inc Laugh Floor in the Magic Kingdom, it is a great set and stands out as one of the better character meet spots.

Before I got the photos for this column entry, I knew there were some jokes but wasn't aware how many fun little jokes can be found here.  It's really a testament to the Imagineers who don't skimp out on something just because it's a meet-n-greet.  Every project they take on seems to warrant the same attention to detail we've come to expect and this meet area is a microcosm of what makes Disney so special.
