Hat on the table

Sometimes what is mentioned in this column is something that isn't very obvious to the passer-by and requires a detailed explanation but not this week. At the ice cream and beverage stand that is across from the entrance to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectcular is a dig site that has been set up that integrates with the refreshment stand. In a brilliant effort to really sell the idea that you are in an area inspired by the Indiana Jones films, Imagineers placed all sorts of items that look like a dig site but to integrate the whole thing, they added a single fedora hat that you must know why it's there.

On the table is the fedora hat of Indiana Jones and tells a basic story of this being a dig site somewhere in a jungle and the hat belongs to the famed archeologist, Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones, Jr. The scene helps bring the guest into the world of Indiana Jones by making a great mini-introduction before the guest reaches the entrance to the attraction itself.
