Evil Tower... U R Doomed

This Sunday marks the 18th anniversary of the opening of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and so I wanted to look this week at something that, well, isn't there any more.  If you had the chance to experience the Tower of Terror up until about 2006, you may have known about a really cool hidden secret to the attraction.

As you exited the queue and made your way to the library, there was a directory posted on the wall between the broken elevators.  If you happened to glance down into the directory, you'd notice some of the letters had fallen off the directory and spelled out "EVIL TOWER... U R DOOMED".

In January 2006, the letters that spelled out this creepy message were removed and since then have been missing from the attraction.  So why isn't it there?  Turns out these letters were not officially part of the Tower of Terror theme.  Cast Members had added the letters on their own and in 2006, Imagineers decided to remove it because it wasn't part of the official theme.
