One of my favorite things to do in Disney's Hollywood Studios is enjoy the Citizens of Hollywood skits that are performed throughout the day on Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards. Occasionally you'll see one of the Citizens of Hollywood driving up the street in an electric vehicle that has a connection to Walt Disney himself.
This vehicle is one of four electric vehicles that were comissioned by Walt Disney to be built between 1960 and 1965 to take VIPs at Disneyland around the park. The vehicles were designed to be a replica of a 1900 curved dash Oldsmobile.
The Disneyland car was designed by Disney Legend Bob Gurr (he also designed all of Disneyland's Main Street vehicles) and came up with this...

Eventually four vehicles were made, of which two remain in Disneyland and the other two are at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Ever seen something in Hollywood Studios and wondered why it was placed there by Disney's Imagineers? Matt Hochberg leads you on a regular look at the hidden details in Hollywood Studios and explains why it's there.
