Backlot Express Condiments Bar

One of my favorite counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios is Backlot Express and after you order your meal and pick up your food, you likely head to the condiments bar to pick up ketchup, mustard, napkins and straws.  What you may not know is that there used to be a lot more offered here than just ketchup and napkins.

The area where you now find ketchup and mustard dispensers, among other things, is where Backlot Express used to have a nice fixin's bar selection of lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and more.  The fixin's bar was located underneath those overhead lamps and there were two locations in the restaurant.  Much like the fixin's bars you will find at Pecos Bills in the Magic Kingdom or Electric Umbrella in Epcot, Backlot Express featured a selection of vegetables to garnish your meal with.

Unfortunately, the fixin's bar was removed from Backlot Express in the early part of this decade (somewhere in the 2002 to 2003 time frame). The good news is just recently Disney added back a mini-fixin's bar that features pickles and onions, so all is not lost!
