The Year of a Million Dreams Part Deux - Disney MGM Studios Information and Guide

Disney officially announced the extension of the Year of a Million Dreams program this month. Announcements came from Good Morning America, press releases, commercials, and the publication of an online Dream catalog. While I won’t go into how smart it is for the Walt Disney Company to extend the Year of a Million Dreams promotions (come back in a couple of weeks for a deeper look into Disney’s balancing act of trying to attract people to the Disney parks, but at the same time, not disappointing people if and when they don’t win anything), I am going to go over some of the giveaways I am most excited about. Take a look at what is in store for 2008….

1) Two (2) Membership in the Disney Vacation Club prizes are available:

2) One (1) Collection of Disney Vacations prize is available:

One (1) Walt Disney World Resort trip consisting of a four (4) day/three (3) night vacation package to Walt Disney World Resort
One (1) Disneyland Resort trip consisting of a four (4) day/three (3) night vacation package to Disneyland® Resort.
One (1) Disney Cruise Line 3-night Bahamian Cruise.
One (1) Adventures by Disney vacation package prize consisting of a vacation package selected by the winner from the portfolio of available Adventures by Disney trips

3) One (1) Disney Parks — Global Grand Marshal prize is available: Prize consists of: roundtrip, economy class air travel for winner and up to three (3) guests for one

Fifteen (15) day/fourteen (14) night trip which includes travel to the following: Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
During such tour, the winner will also have the opportunity to appear as the Grand Marshal in parades in Disneyland Park, Magic Kingdom Park, Disneyland Resort Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

4) One (1) Disney's Private Island prize is available:

Prize consists of one (1) Disney Cruise Line 4-night Bahamian Cruise.
The winner and up to (3) guests will experience the regularly scheduled guest itinerary for the first two (2) days of the cruise.
On the third day, they will be transported, via tender boat, to Disney's Castaway Cay Island for a special VIP day with private access to all the guest amenities located there for an eight (8) hour period (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) and a gourmet dinner. Special sleeping accommodations will also be arranged for the winner and guests on board a chartered yacht on the evening of their private access day. The following day, the winner and guests will be met by the Disney Cruise Line ship as it arrives as Disney's Castaway Cay as part of the 4-day guest itinerary, and at this point they will continue the remainder of their vacation following the regular itinerary of the ship.

5) One (1) Ultimate Pirate prize is available:

Prize consists of round-trip, economy class air travel for winner and up to three (3) guests to Los Angeles International Airport, passage on Disney Cruise Line's 7- Night Mexican Riviera Cruise.
Prize includes: accommodations on board a Disney Cruise Line ship (one stateroom based on quadruple occupancy; category as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion), regularly scheduled meals on board the ship, and port charges.
On the scheduled day of final debarkation from the cruise, the winner and guests will be provided ground transfers selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion to the Disneyland® Resort for a two (2) day/one (1) night vacation package, including hotel accommodations in the Pirates of the Caribbean Suite in the Disneyland Hotel (or equivalent), a 2-Day Disneyland Resort Park Hopper Ticket

Prize consists of a five (5) day/four (4) night vacation package to Disneyland® Paris Resort. Package includes: round-trip, economy class air travel for winner and up to three (3) guests to Paris, France

8) One (1) High School Musical 3 & Walt Disney World Vacation prize is available:

Prize consists of a three (3) day/two (2) night vacation package to Disneyland Resort. During this trip the winner and guests will attend the premiere of the Disney Channel's movie High School Musical 3.
Prize also includes a four (4) day/three (3) night vacation package to Walt Disney World Resort. Package includes: round-trip, economy class air travel for winner and up to three (3) guests to Orlando, Florida, round-trip ground transfers selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion between the Orlando International Airport and the Resort, standard hotel accommodations (one room based on quadruple occupancy), a 4-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper Option for winner and each guest

9) One (1) Walt Disney World Toy Story Mania Opening Event trip is available:

Prize consists of a four (4) day/three (3) night vacation package to Walt Disney World Resort. Package includes: round-trip, economy class air travel for winner and up to three (3) guests to Orlando, Florida, round-trip ground transfers selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion between the Orlando International Airport and the Resort, standard hotel accommodations (one room based on quadruple occupancy), a 4-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper Option for winner and each guest
During the trip the winner and guests will receive admission to an opening ceremony associated with the Toy Story Mania attraction at the Walt Disney World® Resort (including select entertainment, food, and beverage) and will receive select special merchandise item(s) presented during the event.

10) One (1) Spaceship Earth Hot Air Balloon Tethered Flight trip is available:

Prize consists of a four (4) day/three (3) night vacation package to Walt Disney World Resort.
During the trip the winner and guests will receive a tethered flight in the Spaceship Earth Hot Air Balloon.

11) One (1) Sorcerer's Apprentice for a Day prize is available:

Each winner will receive a four (4) day/three (3) night vacation package to Disneyland Resort.
During this trip the winner and guest will visit Walt Disney Imagineering in Glendale, CA to spend the day with a Disney Imagineer, receive a tour of the Walt Disney Imagineering Campus, and meet with a senior Imagineering Executive. Winner and guest will also receive a "behind the- scenes" tour of Disneyland® Resort with an Imagineer.

12) Twelve (12) Star Wars Weekend prizes available:

Each prize consists of: an opportunity on the day prize is awarded for winner and up to three (3) guests to meet the one (1) or more of the celebrities selected by Sponsor (in its sole discretion) of the Star Wars Weekend at Disney's Hollywood Studios, a prize pack for winner and each guest of Star Wars Weekend merchandise, and a dining experience at a restaurant determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion to enjoy on the same day.

13) One (1) Friday the 13th at Disney's Hollywood Studios prize available:

Prize consists of: a special dinner experience to occur in or near the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror? Attraction in Disney's Hollywood Studios on the day prize is awarded for winner and up to five (5) guests. Prize will be awarded on June 13, 2008.

14) Four (4) Access to the Walt Disney World® Toy Story Mania Opening Event Ceremony prizes available:

Each prize consists of: access on either the day prize is awarded or the following day for winner and up to three (3) guests to an opening ceremony associated with the new Toy Story Mania attraction at the Walt Disney World® Resort (including select entertainment, food, and beverage) and a special item(s) designed especially for the event for winner and each guest.

Send in a picture that, in your opinion, truly defines the spirit of Epcot. It could be a picture from opening day back in 1982 or from Epcot’s rededication ceremony last week.
