Take a look back at some of the great and fun attractions that have come to the Studios and are no longer with us. We re-examine parts of the Studios that while gone now, are not forgotten.
Before the Disney-MGM Studios opened in 1989, the Disney World marketing team already had their public relations machine in action, trying to build up hype for this soon to open third park. In May 1988, still about a year away from opening, Disney put out this newsletter highlighting what was to come in this brand new theme park that was well under construction.
This preview takes us back in time before the park opened and it's interesting to take a retrospective look back to what made it and what didn't make it and some aspects of the park that took different paths than hinted at in this publication. Apologies for page 3, which for some reason was a lot smaller when scanning but you can zoom in and read it.
