This week we selected a photo theme of "trees" and that means we accepted submissions from our readers of photos that had that theme. When you have photo themes like this week, where the theme doesn’t make obvious sense, it’s pretty interesting to see what comes in.

Photo by April of Tampa Bay, FL
April’s photo looked familiar to me, because I was with her when she took it, and it was taken during New Years Eve 2010 at Hollywood Studios and you can clearly see the palm trees in the foreground, with the fireworks going off behind them. I love the silhouette of the trees from the fireworks. A great photo!
"Ugly tree" by Matt
I actually took this photo and I did so because I was waiting outside of the ABC Commissary for some friends and noticed this awful looking tree. I suspect it was trimmed due to the frost a few weeks ago but it looks like the ugliest tree I’ve ever seen in Disney World.
"Mulch trees" by Jennifer of Berkeley, CA
Jennifer sent us another photo of her beloved Mulch,. Sweat and Shears musical group having their stage transported around Hollywood Studios, and sure enough, there are some trees to be seen in the background of the photo. Of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that the name of the band does relate to pruning of trees so I think she has all of the corners covered.
Be sure to send us your photos for next week, which will feature the theme of "water". Any photos you may have from Hollywood Studios that you think fits into the theme of "water" can be sent to us to be featured in this column.
