Reunion 2010

Tuesday, December 07, 2010

This past week we wrapped up Reunion 2010 and on Saturday, December 4th, we spent the entire day in Disney's Hollywood Studios with lots of meets planned.  Now that most of us are back home, it's natural to gravitate towards returning and while that isn't likely so soon, I thought it would be fun to relive some of those memories or share them with those that couldn't make it.

Our first meet of the day was to meet the Citizens of Hollywood and enjoy one of their skits.  In this case, we ended up seeing Otto Von Bonn Bahn and Dorma Nesmond and they were kind enough to pose for a photo with us.

Next up we took a ride on Rock 'n Roller Coaster, and as you can see, we took a second to take a photo while waiting in line.  Some of us look a little nervous about riding, but in the end, we had a great time.

It may look like we lined up to ride Tower of Terror next...but we didn't.  We had every intention of riding, but one of the drop shafts broke while waiting for everyone to arrive and so we had to skip this wonderful attraction.  The good news is we managed to get a good photo out of it!

A really fun meet was the Butterfinger Cupcake meet where Len Testa opted to try to eat an entire Butterfinger Cupcake from Starring Rolls Bakery in three bites.  He didn't succeed in his endeavor, but did manage to entertain us all in his attempt.  We'll never look at that cupcake the same way again.

A really cool meet was the time we got to meet Indiana Jones and Marion after seeing a performance of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.  It was something I had never done and just being on the stage was really neat and to be able to take a photo with the stars of the show was a truly awe-inspiring experience.

Our final photo is all of us getting ready to ride Toy Story Midway Mania, when we were surprised by Beci Mahnken with a ride at the end of the night with no line.  Needless to say, we were all really, really excited!

Special thanks to Beci Mahnken of MEI-Mouse Fan Travel for providing many of these photos.

Be sure to send us your photos for next week, which will feature the theme of "juice".  Any photos you may have from Hollywood Studios that you think fits into the theme of "juice" can be sent to us to be featured in this column.
