Cars

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

Each week we select photos from Hollywood Studios that have been submitted to us with a common theme and this week, the assignment is "cars".  So whatever that means to photographers is what we're going to see.

"Cars Tomator" by marada

With this week's theme, it probably makes sense to start with the most obvious and this photo is of the characters from the Pixar film "Cars", Lightning McQueen and Mater.  Both can be found in their meet-n-greet near the exit to Muppetvision 3D and are a big hit with kids, especially young boys.

"Classic Car" by Harvey-Harv

There used to be many cars along Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards as well as New York Street but most have been removed to make more room for guests yet we still have this classic 1941 Cadillac Series 62 on Sunset Boulevard, which used to be home to a pin store.  Today, it remains as something nice to look at and be admired.

"Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show" by technicle

It's hard to ignore an attraction dedicated to cars with a photo assignment of cars and Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show is that show.  While it does feature motorcycles and jet skis, the bulk of the attraction focuses on cars, with a red hero car trying to evade the black cars.

Be sure to send us your photos for next week, which will feature the theme of "purple".  Any photos you may have from Hollywood Studios that you think fits into the theme of "purple" can be sent to us to be featured in this column.
