Disney-MGM Studios Information Guide

December 12, 2006 - #6

Every week I’ll be answering any question about the Disney-MGM Studios from planning questions to “what happened to...” questions.  So if you’ve got something you’ve been wondering about or simply need clarification, please feel free to email them to me (use the form below).

I'm interested in seeing the osborne lights.  How long are they on display in the month of Dec?
The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights will be on display through January 7, 2007 so they will be on every night at 6pm in the month of December

We'll be seeing Fantasmic @7p (only show on Dec 14).  Can we get to the lights with any time to really enjoy them before they herd us out of the park? Thanks so much for your site. - Luce
Likely you won't be able to see the lights before Fantasmic! but there is a good chance you can see the lights after Fantasmic!. Although the park is technically closed, as long as there isn't any special event going on after park hours, you'll have two options once Fantasmic! is over: exit the park or see the Osborne Lights. Being that I'm paranoid, I might look at the rest of the days you're at Disney and see if there's a night you could go specifially for the lights just in case.

Hi Matt,

this is a great site! The Studios are my favourite park at WDW and last time I had lots of fun watching the Hollywood Public Works Department streetmosphere guys. I will be back at WDW February 8-15 and was wondering whether you have any ideas which days of the week are best to catch the three guys doing their performance?
- Magdalene
The streetmosphere characters schedule is not made up that far in advance but I've seen the Hollywood Public Works department guys out there every day recently. They're almost always out in the afternoon and near the intersection of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards. When you get to the park, ask a Cast Member to check on when they will be appearing.
