Welcome to Ask Matt where every week I try my best to answer any question about Disney's Hollywood Studios from planning questions to “what happened to...” questions. I am coming there for the super soap WK and I was wondering what time are they doing fantasmic due to the parade and the street jam at 7:15 because I thought that the Fantasmic show was at 7:00? Also when I get a fast pass for an autograph does that work for all the stars or do I need a fastpass for each star? What is the recommended time that we should get there? WE are staying on resort so we can take the bus but I was thinking of leaving the resort bet. 7:15 to 7:30AM is this enough time?
For the theater where is that by I have been to MGM 3 times and I am not sure where that is? Lastly I see that there is autograph sessions that go on all day so are these done at the same time that there is events going on too? Thanks for everything - Aimee

Wow, that's quite a number of questions so let me do my best to answer them in one breath. Fantasmic! will be shown at 8pm on Super Soap Weekend days. You get a FASTPASS for a particular star at a time, not an entire show. You should probably get to the Studios at around 7:-00-7:30am. The buses are a good means of transporation but assume the trip will take longer than you expect (you have to wait for the bus to arrive). I believe the theater you are referring to is the temporary theater which is located in the Rock 'n Roller Coaster area. You will see it as you pass by Coaster. You will have to refer to the final schedule to see what is going on when. Generally Disney tries its best not to have events going on during autograph sessions but there is a limited amount of time. i will be arriving at wdw on 1-1-08. i was wondering if you knew if there would be any special promotions or giveaways since that will be the first day of the new studios name. i am especially interest in wdw pins. - Chris

Disney announced that the changeover from the Disney-MGM Studios to Disney's Hollywood Studios will occur on January 7th so nothing major should be occuring on the first of the month. That being said, nothing has been announced yet regarding any festivities on January 7th.

I saw that there will be a different theatre for the super soap weekned talk shows, where normally it is in the abc theatre. Where exactly is this new ss theatre located so I can plan accordingly. Is it near the Beauty and the beast theatre? - Laine

This new theater is at the end of Sunset Boulevard, past Rock 'n Roller Coaster in a large temporary white tent. The tent has a capacity of about 1000 people with stadium seating in the rear of the theater and fold out chairs in the front section.
