Disney-MGM Studios Information Guide

Ask Matt

November 21, 2006 - #3

Every week I’ll be answering any question about the Disney-MGM Studios from planning questions to “what happened to...” questions.  So if you’ve got something you’ve been wondering about or simply need clarification, please feel free to email them to me.

I attended the Super Soap Weekend 2006 this past weekend. On my way home, the airline destroyed my suitcase that included my Super Soap Weekend T-shirts. I was wondering if there was any way that I could purchase new shirts. I had bought the pink Luke and Laura Love in the Afternoon t-shirt and the Black Super Soap Weekend T-Shirt with all the attending actors and actresses names on the back both in size 3X. I would greatly appreciate it if you could get back to me with a way, if possible, to purchase new shirts. I am extremely upset about loosing everything I purchased while on vacation. Thank you for your help. - Erika J.
If you want to replace it, you can order any item from the park via Disney Merchandise by calling 407-363-6200. Becuase it's a Super Soap Weekend item, it may or may not be available anymore but it certainly is worth looking into.

I am planning a trip to MGM in February, and debating the character lunch at Hollywood and Vine in MGM. My friend's children love the Little Einsteins, so she thought it would be a good idea. I was wondering if we can find the same characters somewhere in the park so we can see them and eat at a counter service place or Sci-Fi (my fave) instead. Jojo and Goliath were in the trailers on the way to the backlot last time I was there - is there anywhere we can see the Little Einsteins other than Hollywood and Vine? - Shaun L.
Yep, Little Einsteins have a "trailer" next to Jojo & Goliath's on Mickey Avenue that offers meet-n-greets throughout the day. Check the times guide for exact times. Also, in front of their trailer on a sign, sometimes the times they are meeting are listed there, too. As for which are there to meet, it varies so you may find one set one day and a different set of Einsteins another day.

We will be at MGM on Monday 11/27. The park is scheduled to close at 8, but will remain open until 11:00 for EMH, correct? Fantasmic is scheduled for 7 and 8:30 and Osbourne Lights are down for 6-8. Will they be open for EMH, too and after the 8:30 show? Which Fantasmic would be better to go to? - Kelly P.
Yes, evening Extra Magic Hours mean the park will remain open for 3 more hours longer than the posted closing time. So in this case, 11pm.

The Osborne Lights turn on at 6pm and will remain on throughout the night. And you should ALWAYS see the last showing of Fantasmic as it will be less crowded than the first.
