Every week I’ll be answering any question about the Disney-MGM Studios from planning questions to “what happened to...” questions. So if you’ve got something you’ve been wondering about or simply need clarification, please feel free to email them to me (use the form below).
Long time listener, first time writer. Do you have suggestions for touing during star wars weekends?? We have twins age six. we are fine with skipping other attractions and focusing solely on STAR WARS activities. - Bob
It's hard to make recommendations on touring and be specific because we don't have a schedule of activities yet, however if you have kids, likely they're going to be most interested in the events that occur (as opposed to the merchandise or celebrity autographs). My best advice is Star Wars Weekends are 3 days for a reason. Ideally you'd spend at least 2 , if not 3, days doing Star Wars Weekends and I would highly recommend 2 because then you will not be pressing as much to get everything worked in.
Assuming your kids are interested in the two events soley for kids, Tatooine Trivia Trials (trivia for kids) and Jedi Training Academy, then I would recommend signing up your kids right when the park opens at the Star Wars Weekend information desk (near Indiana Jones, across from Sounds Dangerous). To get into Jedi Training Academy, you need to show up about 15-20 minutes before a show time and when they ask for volunteers, have your kids go crazy.
I would like to purchase tickets online for one day, would that be cheaper than purchasing at the gate. Can I call and purchase tickets and if so, what is the phone number?
Since you're buying a one day ticket, most places won't sell just a one day ticket. If you'd like to buy a multi-day ticket and get the no expiration option, a great option is buying tickets from your local AAA office (if you're a member) or from a reputable ticket broker like Maple Leaf Tickets or Central Florida Tickets
What is the address to find the MGM Studios on MapQuest?
I'm a Google Maps person myself, and if you want to find them on there, type in "Disney-MGM Studios, Lake Buena Vista, Florida" or click here. If you insist on MapQuest, here is the link.
