Every week I’ll be answering any question about the Disney-MGM Studios from planning questions to “what happened to...” questions. So if you’ve got something you’ve been wondering about or simply need clarification, please feel free to email them to me (use the form below).
We got to pass by Disney's personal plane on the backlot tour but I would like to know a little trivia about it. Can you fill me in? - Wanda M.
Wanda is referring to the company plane Walt Disney used to fly around and it's located behind the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show stadium. Walt used the plane to fly over Florida back when he was surveying the land to look for a good spot to build Walt Disney World. The plane has a registry of N234MM and is a Grumman G-159 Gulfstream I twin-engine turboprop.
I would like to know the date for Super Soap Weekend for 2007? I would like to get my ticket before the price goes up. - Jim L
I know I answered this question last week but the answer has changed. The dates for 2007 are November 10 & 11 and these dates were announced in the period between last week's column and this weeks.
Rain is currently predicted for the night we are going to Fantasmic. We have the Dining Package. Will it be cancelled due to rain? How will this affect our dining package? I would like to cancel it if is is raining that night and the show is being cancelled. Is there a penalty? - JJ
Fantasmic! can be cancelled if there is a thunderstorm and/or lightning present. If it does rain, Disney will try to delay the show but if the bad weather isn't going anywhere, they will cancel the show for that evening, If you're on the package, you will not receive a pass to see Fantasmic! on another night in the special section, so if you're on the package and Fantasmic! is cancelled, then you just get a meal. If you want to cancel, you must do so at least 48 hours before prior. If you want my opinion, you're better off without the package, rain or not.
