Star Tours Queue - Foreshadowing?

If this has been mentioned before, I apologize.

Has the thought crossed anyone else's mind about how Ackbar is the first character you see when entering the queue to Star Tours? Is this maybe a foreshadowing of what's to come? ie. It's a trap!

And, do you think it was intentional by Imagineering?

Technically, not sure if that's Ackbar. I believe they are just Mon Calamari officers

Agreed because there is more than one Mon calamari Officer there. It used to be the first thing you saw was R2 and 3PO's Directors chairs, but they took those out for the new version of the ride.
