ST-45 Project

I never heard of it until today (judging by the comments on Facebook, no one heard of it until today) but apparently it's a group of people recreating the original Star Tours with CGI. Unfortunately, all of their videos are private but it looks pretty interesting. I'll let you know when the videos go public.

Videos are now public, the project is officially titled Star Tours: Origins and it's apparently finished. Supposedly they're working on getting permission to publish it online. We'll see how that goes...

Well the actual Star Tours film has been on YouTube for a while now, and I have yet to see it taken down due to copyright claims. I also beleive both Tokyo and Paris have announced that they're getting the new Star Tours, so I'm not seeing why they'd object. His last comment lead me to beleive he got permission:

"The Countdown has begun... Endor Express will reopen soon... :-)"

How about they replace Captain EO with the old ST film? Tone down the motion so the weak don't get sick, and give it the 3D treatment that's so popular now.
Share and enjoy!

It would seem he got the blessing of Lucas Film, as both the official Star Wars website and their official Star Wars twitter are advertising it. Cool beans!

I hope everyone got to view these while they were still up, as he's taken them all down.
