We added a really cool DHS event yesterday, where we get to meet Indiana Jones after the show. Obviously this isn't something you can regularly and should be fun. I'd love to augment this event by having all of us try to volunteer to be the "extras" in the show.

Not sure but the word that comes to mind is "ditch" :o

Great idea, but this is not a trip where that is an option. Big surprise for my wife to be there with her rents (father is ill) so no ditching this time. Any other time my wife would ditch with me!

Should we all wear loud Hawaiian shirts?

Were you planning on announcing this meet? I just stumbled across it Thursday morning.

Well I can see that I have been working way to much and out of touch. I would have loved to have been part of this December event. I wish I would have realized before I booked my October trip.

Look at that, I just came over to Studios Central to see if there was a thread about Reunion started -- and here it is. Maybe we can get some more people over here by announcing it on the live show/in the chat room tomorrow night? I'd love to meet/chat with people going to Reunion, as I'll be going solo.

Feel free to use this thread to help find others. If you're going solo, my best advice is to go to as many meets as possible (especially early on in the schedule) and you're bound to find some folks to start chatting with and before long you'll all be friends. The key is to be kind and out going and I think you'll quickly find friends.

There is usually a sizable amount of solo travelers as well so you aren't alone B)

Amen to that! I'm one of those solo travelers. Was lucky to be at the last Mousefest, but missed last year's Reunion. My problem with these fan gatherings is that I'm NOT outgoing, and tend to blend into the background, rather than start chatting with folks. I always try, though! Sometimes successfully, sometimes not.

Only 57 days left to the beginning of my WDW vacation! I'll be there on November 30 ... AKV Jambo House.

See you real soon!

I know what you mean and my best advice to just put yourself out there and be a part of the group. Try your best to strike up the conversation but you may find someone else trying to strike up the conversation and that's your cue to jump right in. Never feel like you're a bother or not welcome at all. If things aren't perfect the first time, move around and keep trying. I like to think you will find your niche in the community! :)

Mike Newell mentioned to me yesterday that the MVMCP for Reunion is a AP/DVC discount night. That hasn't happened past few years so enjoy the savings!

Pfft, I'm having management make my own vat of chili to consume. That and no brown M&Ms in my ice cream.

If you like to take pictures and are looking to fill in time between meets at Reunion, check out Pixelmania. Everyone is welcome regardless of photographic skill level or type of camera.

Thanks for the tip! I checked it out and will probably be attending two or three of their meets. A few of them overlap Reunion meets, so I'll attend the ones I can. Looking forward to it!

We tried our best to avoid conflicts between Pixelmania and Reunion meets. However, this wasn't always possible. I personally will be running back and forth between events, and will probably be late for everything!

So is anyone doing anything before the official kick off meet at Trails End? We're getting in at 8:45 a.m. and probably won't have park tickets. We were thinking DTD or something.

My family and I will be around early for reunion, so if you want to meet up in DTD or elsewhere, we could probably make it! (or at least me  )

I'm not entirely sure what my schedule will be that first day. I will be working on Monday and Tuesday of that week but I'm leaning towards taking all of Wednesday off, but I may try to work a half day or something.
