Belle,

Aside from for some special dinner menus, nothing really this year(to my knowledge). The Osborne Luights aren't being show this year, so the whole Holiday celebration at the Studios this year will be somewhat toned down.

What Matt said. We don't really do anything big on Christmas anyway. It's always been MK that does the cool stuff.

How long does WDW keep their christmas decorations up? I'll be there in very early January, like before the 7th. Do they only keep them up until New Years?

thx

This just in...

Celebrate the Season, Studios-style!

Get ready. The Characters are dressing up and stepping out to spread some holiday cheer around Disney-MGM Studios. Come see Minnie, Santa Goofy, Pluto, Lilo, Stitch and more of your favorites at The Sorcerer’s Hat for autographs and pictures. Sarge and his Toy Soldiers from the Disney presentation of the Pixar film, Toy Story, will be hosting a meet and greet, and some of your Fantasmic! Friends will be making appearances as well.

On Hollywood Boulevard and at The Sorcerer’s Hat, you’ll enjoy holiday-themed sketches, the Holiday GleeClub and A Citizens of Hollywood Tree Lighting.

I assume "citizens of Hollywood Blvd" = better use of CM's 15 min break? :content:

And this info comes from the November Mickey Monitor

Somehow I missed that when I reading my MM. Yep it is there and is MGM's 'holiday' thing. The only other major things they mentioned we already knew, Super Soap & HM set.

From Tom Wolber-

Because of the construction of the new stunt show speectacular that's scheduled to debut in 2005 in the Backlot area of the Disney-MGM Studios, we aren't presenting the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights this year.

We know this event is a favorite with Guests and Cast Members, and we're confident we'll find a way to bring this fun holiday tradition back to the Disney-MGM Studios in the future.

The Disney-MGM Studios is, however, presenting a variety of holiday offerings this year, from holiday music and Stresmosphere performances to Hollywood-inspired holiday decor and a special holiday overlay to the Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade.

Guests will find other great holiday festivities throughout property.

We'll update you on future plans for the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights when new information is available.

Is the Holly-Day parade new? Or has it been done in the past? Same question for the Glee club?

I didn't see the parade this past weekend but I believe it is the same parade as usual just with the added Christmas touch. Not definite though.

It's just an overlay to the parade, so I'd imagine probably like the holiday costumes the characters come out in and decorations on the cars or something like that. Haven't heard any details.

But yes, the concept of the overlay and the GleeClub thing are both new.
