Just enjoying the Phil's vs. Marlins this weekend. Two come from behind victories and realized we don't have a Baseball Thread up for this year. The World Champion Phillies would be dissapointed if we didn't start one... so I figured a sweep of the Marlins would be a good time to start! :P  :)

They're doing okay, minus Wang. He's pathetic.

Meanwhile, my good old White Sox are hovering right around .500.

They got the sweep thanks to the masterful pitching of Jamie Moyer, who's old enough to be my dad. :)

Moyer remains undefeated in Florida against the Marlins.

Matt, I could have started the thread at the begining of the the season with a big World Champion Phillies intro... but now that I've got the sweep, I guess this is almost as much fun. :)

Actually, I was REALLY surprised to read today that they are LAST in the majors in team ERA... by an entire run.

Wow.

And, I'm NOT going to post about how well my Cardinals are doing so far this season... last time I did that... they tanked!

How does a "Joisey" boy like you get to be a Cardinals fan?

I'm not born and raised here. We moved to the St. Louis area in 1985... and I didn't have a baseball team. Easy to root for the hometown team with Ozzie Smith and company!

Although the Indians are in the cellar I have a feeling they will pickup the pieces and do well this season.

They have to get through the White Sox first!

Actually, more likely they have to get through Zach Greinke and the Royals.

The Red Sox seem to be having pitching problems too.

Matt's Marlins somehow split a series with my Reds. After last night's shutout, the Reds pitching leads in ERA. Woot!!

Manny can now "be Manny" at home for 50 games after testing positive for a PED. He claims he doctor prescribed him something for an off-season injury and was told it was not on the banned list. And, "Manny being Manny", he apparently didn't have the time to verify that fact.

This really hurts the Dodgers, who are a different team with ManRam in the lineup. This opens the door a bit to the NL West.

50 Games! I'm glad Manny is being Manny out of Boston.

The Dodgers seem to... not mind one bit so far. Still winning.
