As you may or may not know, Studios Central is partnering with WDW Celebrations to throw a very special event to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Disney's Hollywood Studios! This ought to be a really fun event and I'd love to see as many Studios Central members attend as possible!

You can find more information on the event here: http://www.wdwcelebr.../studio-20.html

I'm planning on being there but please post here if you are planning on attending!

I still need to register, but I'm most likely going to show up for Saturday's events. Can't go on Friday since I have to work. :notamused:

Finally registered, we're going for sure on Saturday, I don't think we'll be able to make it for Friday, do you know if the group rides are using the regular standby line or is something arranged for the whole group. Also do you know who will be the guide during the history walk??

The group rides will use the regular standby line and I believe they will be breaking up the history walks to make small group sizes but not sure who will be doing them.

Matt it just occured to me that the schedule of events is missing something: The Citizens Of Hollywood.
How about on saturday having the group watch the last show of the day "Funniest Citizens of Hollywood"
I think they do it at 5 or 6pm.
Is there anyway that this can be squeezed in? I think COH are an important part of what makes the Studios...the Studios...
Just my humble opinion

That's a great idea, but unfortunately the event list has been set. That doesn't mean an impromptu event may not develop from it but I agree COH are wonderful.

Let me just mirror what Matt has said about the schedule of events. In our more recent events, we have used free time to enjoy an impromptu meet or two, so I wouldn't rule out anything regarding a Citizens of Hollywood show. While I can't make any promises, it will be based more on the available time, time of day and what is going on before and after that time slot in the schedule. Any impromptu meets will be announced to the event attendees at the meet(s) immediately preceding it.

As for the History Walk, we have had a few different guides deliver them in the past, including Marcus D'Amelio, Jackie Steele and a few others. All of our guides are knowledgable on the history of the Studios, and will all deliver unique takes on the tour itself. While we haven't ever had requests as to which group to go with, we can certainly accomodate if you have a preference.

Thanks Adam, I'm sure whomever I get will be great, as for the COH, my kids and I just love them, and like I said I think they're an important part of DHS, it's that feeling of the Hollywood of yesteryear, and they never dissapoint, so I thought it would be fun to have the group interact with them and see the COH reaction to all of us together enjoying them...just my 2 cents...I'm trying to make it for at least half a day on Friday (I have to be home by 2 cause the kids come back from school) as that is the official day of the anniversary, and I'm still hoping Disney will have something; be it small; planned in the morning, but for sure we'll be there the whole day on Saturday.
