OK... While unpacking a box this holiday break I came across one of my High School animation study/sketchbooks. I used to draw Disney characters all the time, everywhere, but some more detailed than others. These date back between 1990 and 1993.

Thanks! I actually went to college to be a Disney animator; several of my classmates work there now.

Thanks!

I have to say, that crown must have been a royal pain to animate.

Looking back at these... I think my favorites are Marahute (but not Cody) and Pinocchio. The others... the more I look, the more I cringe.

Thanks!

Along with the crown, now, I think the rings would be a pain in the rear to animate as well. Keeping the facets of the jewels in line...

I had a Disney sketchbook, but I got my learning from books, not expensive college classes. I don't think I can scan it properly. Heck, I don't even have a proper scanner for my Mac.

YoPaulie, we'd have to get together some day and compare notes.

Sounds good! You're in The City?

All of these sketches are from high school... and mostly book learning. Read The Illusion of Life 3 or 4 times cover to cover between 1991 and 1993. THEN I went to expensive college.

Where Walt himself took drawing classes.

I don't have a scanner, either. I shot these with my camera.

Right in the heart of it. Just PM me with the details, and we'll make it happen.
