Let's face it DVC isn't too good at keeping "secrets"

This was by far the worst kept secret at WDW  I can't say I love the name terribly. It makes it seem like it's not part of the Contemporary.

I can't say that I'm really excited about the tower. It's draw and allure will be location and not necessarily theming.

I am glad they will add another DVC resort though. The more options the better in my opinion.

They are diffinately going to go quick. Most people are going to love the fact they have access to the monorail, are close to Magic Kingdom, and have all of the dining options around the monorail loop.

Pass the Mickey Waffles!

Just to update everyone, Kingdom Towers has been renamed to Bay Lake Towers. It's fine if you use the whole name, but using just the first initials.........

I hope before it's officially announced Disney decides to rename it again. I always knew that Contemporary Resort Villas or Villas at Contemporary Resort wouldn't fly, because of the intials. CRV is a car by Honda, and VCR, well you all know what that is.

I don't expect the cost per point to be higher, but I do think the cost to stay at BLT with be quite high, especially for Magic Kingdom view.

The original building will still be the same. They tore down the North Wings and built a huge new crescent shaped building that will be DVC accomodations. (Studios, 1-2 Bedroom villas etc) There is a bridge that links them together.

Here you go. Fresh off the presses from last week.

Some sort of observation tower. Maybe for viewing the fireworks at the MK.

This gives you a perspective of the size of the new DVC tower.

We're excited for BLT (the resort not the sandwich). It'll be nice to have a DVC resort on the monorail line. And if nothing else hopefully it'll be more options for people and then we can have easier time getting into AKL and VWL.

Yeah, staying in the A Frame would be nice. We've never stayed there. I've heard the rooms are nice. Plus it'd be cool to wake up...head downstairs to Chef Mickey breakfast! :fozzy:

Never been a big fan of the theming of the Conteporary. For us...the A-frame I think would be too loud...too much going on. If we ever stayed there (and it's unlikely) it would be in the Garden Wing or the DVC Tower.

I stayed in the now-defunct wing once and was totally underwhelmed. There didn't seem to be any theming at all in the rooms or hallways--you could have been in any La Quinta Inn anyplace. Also, the walk over to the main building and up to the monorail was far enough that it was almost equidistant to just walk to MK in a pinch.

Hopefully the DVC will have more exciting theming.

The DVC is gonna be so out of my range, the only reason I care about it is how it's gonna affect the CR.
