Don't worry, it's not the whole ride  Sept 17-30 (maybe longer) one side of Tower will be closed. Don't know if it's Echo or Foxtrot yet, it's probably going to be both, just one at a time.

One rehab I think they need to do... change the 'chicken exit' to stairs The have it as an elevator for the wheelchairs. Many guests start getting worried when they see it is an elevator. My roommate thought I was setting him up last time and I didn't even know it was an elevator exit! It gave me a good laugh.

Heh ya, I know several people who have freaked out over it. But because of the wheelchair access they won't be changing it anytime soon.

I've just been informed by a Bellhop friend of mine that it will be the whole ride. They are getting a whole new tower console for the ride. They are not sure yet if it will be carrying over into October or not.

Yikes, the month of September will be a doozy for people visiting then. No ToT and no Animation Tour. :x Well, better then than when I come :content:

Thanks for the tip Jillian!

yup, it's called the "tower console" no matter what ride you go on. It's fun saying "Tower's tower console" :) It is the ride operation board.

So it's running with a bad console now? That reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Bart rents a car and they drive to Tennessee and Homer, in an effort to get him home via mail courier, spills coffee all over the command console for the nuclear power plant

I wish they would fix the camera in the horizontal shaft that use to display your picture on that huge eye. They have been using a generic picture for years.

They spend the money to fix all the big stuff, but forget to leave a few dollars to fix the more interesting things. That was supposed to make you feel like you were part of the scene not just looking through a window.

When i was about 8 i wanted to ride the tower when my mom dad sister and grandma went. my sister wouldn't ride it because she was scared. so my grandma mom and dad rode it. i would have rode if my sis had not begged me to come on the chicken elevator cause she thought that would fall too. finally when i was 12 i got to ride it and she was 18 so she rode it too! :santa:
