The Dip Site snack stand in Disney-MGM Studios now has hispanic food offerings. Of particular interest are the Arepas (cornbread slizes with mozarella inside), which are included as a snack option on the Disney Dining Plan.

Cornbread & Mozzerella cheese??? My DS will be in heaven! His 2 favorite foods....although I'm not sure how good they would be mixed together. Sounds interesting.

Can someone refresh my memory (& save me from looking for a map :) ) where is the Dip Site? Thanks!

It's right next to the entrance to Indiana Jones. It's a little hut that used to only serve cheesesteaks.

The big question is ...do they still have the cheese steaks!?!

It was closed the last time I was there and we went looking for it just for that reason. --as a former Philly area guy, cheese steaks are... important.

They serve such a dish at most NYC Street fairs. They are fattening, but they taste out of this world. Yum!

I forgot all about this!

When we went in November, I did remember to look for it but it was closed the whole day we were there.

Snuggie's Pal, I'm going to have to keep an eye out for it. I never noticed before. Thanks!

*slow motion* NOOOOOOOOO. Well at least they're trying something new, right? How often have any of us eaten arepas? They have to mix it up somehow.

I walked passed it yesterday, and it was closed because the park was 'unreasonably dead' (to quote the tram narrator), but there wasn't any food listed on the menu what-soever.

I was just in the park doing research and the Dip Site is just serving caramel corn and beer and such. No real food, unless you count beer as food... :shifty:

Wow, that's a waste.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of beer do they sell?

I could be wrong, but the usual selection of American beer (Coors or Miller, I believe). I can verify it this weekend when I go down (if I remember).
