I noticed shuffled with all the crap they send you on a monthly basis, if you have the Disney Visa card, if you spend at least $200 between June 1 and July 31, you'll get free companion airefare ticket to WDW or DL to use by the end of 2006. Not a bad deal considering you're gonna use the credit card anyway. I need to spend another $40 and I'll have mine.

$200? We spend that in a week on our Disney Visa LOL We put everything on it. Did it include Southwest or just the usual Disney partners?

 Same here. I called up and how it works is after Jule 31, if you've spent the $200, they'll mail out a voucher to you (4-6 weeks). Once you get it, you have to book the airfare through a special link from Visa. I suspect it'll be overpriced tickets (like full-fare or something else that totally reduces any value) but you never know.

I doubt it'll work with Southwest, JetBlue, et al since they don't allow third party vendors to sell their tickets (whereas you can find Delta, American, US Airways, etc tickets at all sorts of ticket sites).

Strange, I never got a flier with my Disney Visa bill. However, I guess we'll get the voucher since we certainly satisfied the charge requirement.

We didn't get it either. I guess they know we would get to the $200 point anyway without an incentive so they didn't offer it to us.

Smiliar thing happened to us with the double points offer. Alot of people only had to spend $200 a month, our thing came saying we had to spend over $600 a month for the double points to kick in.

We're really disappointed in the Disney Visa and we've started using our Amex more. Amex offers up to 3% back as opposed to DV 1%.

Call up the card and ask about it. I would think it's a national promotion

I got my voucher for the airfare today. As expected the cost of the original fare is much more than you can get through the usual Internet methods. Basically they divide the country up into zones. So for me (north east), it will cost $280 to go to WDW or $470 to go to DL. As an example, I can get a roundtrip on Song/Southwest for around $120 to WDW.

This is great because my uncle just got the credit card and has let me use it to buy at least $100 in fabric and some meals. Won't be long before we get the $200.
