Effective immediately, if you post a trip report, for every report you post, you'll earn 2 points! I look forward to rewarding some great trip reports!

Now, is it points per full trip, or points per thread of trip (i.e. day 1, day 2), do Jason and I get them for mini trips into the park if it's an all day thing and we post info? :P Sorry to be a pain :D

It's points per thread and mini-trips get points, you just have to post something substantive :P

As long as you write 'em up, yo get the points. But I'm sure there's plenty of folks here who will say that getting around to writing them up isn't as easy as you might think.

I kept a journal on my solo trip in February but didn't want the ridicule from the family so didn't bring it in May.

What are the points for?? I know this is probably a stupid question - but I am fairly new. Thanks!

Points are mostly useless. Just something nice to have, although now you can use points for items in the forum shop

Can you post pictures in your trip reports? All my trip reports contain codes for images that I have posted on Photobucket.

What do you do with points and how do you earn them? This looks like an old post, is this still in effect? Thanks in advance for a response.

Points are just a bragging right sort of thing. You get them by answering questions correctly and identifying pictures each week. (those threads are in a different section)

Think of them as Disney Dollars. Nifty novelty but useless in the real world

And yes, they are still in effect!

Count me in that group... I take extensive notes on my trips... i get back and get about halfway through a report and then lose it... not sure why...
