Since it's the birthday of Tower of Terror today (july 22), thought we could all share stories of our first time on Tower of Terror.
Were you scared? Nervous? Did you keep your eyes open? Any photo evidence?

My 1st ride was Oct 1999, that was actually my 1st time in the Studios. I took a session for a conference on 3-D story telling. They brought us to the park before it opened. I had no idea that I was about to get on the Tower of Terror. When I found out this was part of the class, I must have looked nervous because the CM told me, "Don't worry it's only hydraulics."
The CM walked us through every aspect of planning the ToT from the storyboards, to the actual placement of specific Twilight Zone props.

My first ride was July 2000 when I was visiting with some friends. They wanted to ride and I didn't want to admit I was scared so I went along for the ride and loved it

I rode for the first time on vacation the December after it opened. I remember being quite nervous before the ride but LOVED it and turned right around to get back on line for a second ride. It just keeps getting better, too. The newer version with all the drops is much improved over the original version!

I honestly don't remember the first time I rode it - I'm thinking it was probably 1998? I do remember that my dad had the MOST ridiculous looking scared face in the picture that we actually ended up buying it.
Since that time we still have to do a lot of convincing to get him to ride again. Still a fantastic ride 17 years later.

I remember riding it in 1999 and being scared while in the boiler room but after it really had me interested in Rod Serling and now I'm a huge fan of the show.
I also remember when they had the bell hop bells out in the middle of the store for anyone to ring, and wanting to smack a few dozen kids for ringing them non stop. LOL
