Space Mountain is nearing it's final 100 days and I'm ready to rock the cosmos again. I know wdwmagic users are raving of how dissappointing the refurb maybe but I see it as the reLAUNCH of the first mountain in WDW. So I want to know do you all think it will be better than ever, jus the same, or even worse.

Please let me know.
Thanks.
Studio Kid.

it seems as though the ride will be the same, and the queue will get the biggest changes, so therefore will stay pretty much the same for me since i always grab a fastpass and walk right on later in the day.

To be honest, I think the queue is what needed the most work. I'm fine with the way the refurb is looking.

This continually cracks me up... folks online start to fantasize about what's being done, build it up to a fever pitch, then are disappointed when all they dreamed doesn't come to fruition!

See: D23. Gran Fiesta Tour. Spaceship Earth decent. etc.

Given the time span of this refurb, there was no way anything major could have been changed.

I won't be dissappointed at all because it's a classic. Even if it comes back the same it wouldn't phase me becase it's the first major wdw thrill ride. SSE i didn't dissapoint me I think it's very interactive and the AA's are amazing. Gran Fiesta didnt bother me because it was never suppose to be something real big, jus a relaxing boat ride through mexico. So even if space mountain is a dissapointment to others not me because it is and always will be a classic.

PS it's the oldest operating coaster in Florida so it'll never dissapoint me

If that's true, I'm kinda glad. I like the ride portion "as is". The areas needing the most updating were, indeed, the line queue (those universe scenes are very dated looking) and exit scenes. The exit scenes on the incline don't make much sense now without the narration about the "Lab retriever"....
