We have been going MCO and Disney Magical Express with AirTran for the last 10 trips.
Airtran is leaving my local airport (Newport News) and Allegiant is coming in. The problem is that Allegiant flys into Sanford not MCO.
Our bigger local airport has Southwest to MCO but I really want to fly out of Newport News.
Does anybody have any experience flying into Sanford?

Anybody have any experience with Allegiant?
Planning trip for 1/13/12-1/16/12 with My wife & (will be) 4 month old.

Sanford is about an hour from WDW (via car). There is no Magical Express at Sanford. I haven't flown Allegiant but I hear it's fine for what it is. If you're considering alternative airports, Tampa isn't a bad option either (about an hour as well).

i think it would depend on which is more important: Magical Express convenience vs. Airline cost. as Matt always says, do the math.
if you dont mind getting a rental car, id say use allegiant. ive used allegiant a few times, its cheaper (both in cost and what to expect from the flight) but its not that long of a flight, so i really dont mind. however, without magical express, the cost of renting a car from sanford makes it a no go for me usually (unless i have a friend willing to pick me up).
so if magical express is more important, fly southwest.

Thanks for the responses. We've gone ahead and booked AirTran for one last round.
