I personally like the changes. I would rather have the Mine Coaster and meet n greet hall for a bunch of princesses then an Aurora area with the old Snow White dark ride. which I think is the trade off here

I think the changes are a good sign that the people at Disney hear what the average folks think about their plans, after the first press release alot of people didn't like that it would be mainly princesses at Fantasyland and they have come up with a good alternative. Now let's see if the plans stay this way or they change again.

I think it will ultimately be a good decision. As much as I thought the meet & greet princess areas were nice, I think they were a bit too spread out. Looking at where Aurora's cottage was in relation to Belle's seemed like a long walk. I think people will utilize the Princess Fairytale Hall a lot more than the individual cottages anyway.

The only part that seems questionable to me is the Storybook Circus. We all knew that Pixie Hallow's planned delay meant it was one of the first projects to be cut if there was a scheduling or financial situation. Now that the decision is made to preserve the Toon Town Fair tents, I have to wonder if this area will have that "out of the box" feel that Animal Kingdom's DinoLand USA. Aside from a possible meet & greet area, the rest of the land looks like midway games. Any news on what will be back there?

I'm just glad Gaston's Tavern is staying. I always loved that idea

I quite like the changes they've made because it seems a bit less overwhelmingly girly. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Lack of Pixie Hollow = Disney Fairies may get retired. Dislike.

I like the changes from what I'm seeing here. I have really high hopes for the Be Our Guest restaurant and the Little Mermaid ride. We shall see!

I think the changes add a lot to fantasyland. Two new attractions, new meet and greets... I really liked the idea of taking my four year old daughter to the princess interactive events... Still, the new plans are more consistent with a family experience, which is what I am really after!

I am thinking it is going to be a cross between a dark ride and a mini coaster. I wouldn't expect Big Thunder style thrills... but I could be wrong.

I agree....I expect it to be pretty tame. It will need to accommodate children as well. If they make it too intense it kind of goes against the grain of Fantasyland.

If you look at the artst rendering there are people looking around ejoying scenery. That says a lot about the attraction IMO.

I think that Crushes Coaster in DLP is a good starting point (though likely a far different coaster eperience). The ride starts out very slow, you have a few scenes with nemo and friends... you go through the jellyfish swarm and then you head up a tunnel in the submarine and get launched past Bruce, into the coaser portion.

The coaster on that ride is an intense spinning dark coaster. Likely not what they will use here... but I can see you going through the mine... seeing a few scenes and then racing past the witch. They are not going to throw away all of the snow white animatronics I can tell you that! :)

Will adult friendly beverages be served at Gaston's tavern or is MK still a dry zone? Nothing says princess like a good Reisling.

I haven't heard anything about yet about MK lifting the dry spell for the Tavern. Not sure if booze would be the best fit in the land designated for underage children.

I think you may be right. I saw that rendering and the ride seems tame in that depiction. Although it is described as a coaster and they note new technology that allows the cars to move with the track increasing the thrills

and then there is the concept art that does show some coaster elements, Here is a thread at wdw magic that zooms in
