According to WDWMagic.com, the menu at Mama Melrose has been changed to reflect a more "authentic" Italian cuisine selection. This menu is in test phases, and well, we'll see if it pans out.

I think this will be a good move. When I go to EPCOT and eat at the World Showcase in Italy, Im looking for real Italian food, not something I can get at the Olive Garden.

I really love Mama Melrose's menu as it stands now.

Would love to hear if anyone has eaten there since the menu was revised.

More info on the new menu...

It offers a more "authentic" italian dining experience now.

"The new menu includes appetizers, such as antipasta and panzanella salad, and new entrees, such as risotto, veal OssoBuco and stuffed chicken breast." --Eyes and Ears.

We ate there in October, and the changes were definitely for the better... The service was great, as was the food. I had the mushroom risotto, and DH had the pasta with peppers and sausage. Both were very tasty, and VERY filling. You could probably get by ordering a salad each, and splitting an entree!

Ate there in May during a backstage tour. I rated it 'ok' I really didn't like so much stuff mixed together.

As much as I like Mama Melrose's, I still wish that they had gone ahead with Gonzo's Pandemonium Pizza Parlor. Sigh, hear that Eisner?! We still want it!!!

You can add that to a few other issues that are at hand.
