Beginning Feb. 28, Clear Channel Radio will launch a major promotion that will celebrate 50 years of family fun at Walt Disney theme parks.
Financial details of the advertising campaign were not released.
More than 400 Clear Channel radio stations will participate in the campaign by airing promotional spots providing event details for what is being billed as the "Happiest Celebration on Earth."
Participating radio stations will air the specially designed Disney spots in participation with Premiere Radio Networks' "Delilah" show and "American Top 40" with Ryan Seacrest. Premiere is a radio syndicated programming arm of Clear Channel.
Officials say there will be a call-in component to the campaign that will award vacation packages to the premier of the celebration at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
Festivities are set to begin May 5 at all 10 Disney theme parks across the world. In September, Disney will open a park in Hong Kong, its 11th.
"Disney and its much-loved theme parks have introduced an entirely new genre of family entertainment that now spans the globe," Clear Channel Radio CEO John Hogan says. "The national reach of Clear Channel's radio network provides the perfect opportunity to reach millions of families who are interested in this unprecedented global celebration ... ."
Clear Channel officials say the company's radio stations reach more than 110 million listeners each week.
