7th Graders Studios & Osborne Lights

I just returned from taking my 7th grade students to WDW on the Disney YES program. I have to say, that one of the sweetest moments was watching my students at the Osb lights. The kids were tired, cranky, hungry we had just done TSMM walked over to the Osb Lghts & they weren't on. They started whining about going back to the hotel. I made a deal, that we would slowly walk down the street, to see if the lights turn on while we were walking. One of the kids said, "What's the big deal about some xmas lights?" I just kept walking. About 10 steps later, the music started, the voices came on, the fake snow started to fall (which they deduced was soap.) & then IT happened, all at once, the lights came on...18 middle school boys (the girls were at Fantasmic) completely speechless in the middle of the streets of NY. The smiles started to appear, giggling next, running saying "look at this!" One of the parents who was a bit frustrated w/me about making them see the lights, said, "okay, I have to admit, this is totally cool."

I tend to be a bit jaded but I LOVE the lights!!! Standing under the canopy in SanFran is amazing!

Great story, it's always fun to see people's reactions to the lights for the first time, my kids call the fake snow "snoap".

Nov 2012 Trip is being planned as we speak. My 6th graders are SO excited, actually so are their parents.
