The Great Movie Ride is one of my favorite rides at Disney-MGM, mainly because I'm a movie freak.

Anyway, my question is:

Is there any place online where I can get a list of the movies featured in Chuck Workman's montage at the end of TGMR?

Sincerely,

Welcome to MGMStudios.Org greatmovieridesuperfan! (Whew, that's a mouthful :smirk: )

As to your question, here's what I've come up with....
Showboat
Carousel
Angels with Dirty Faces
Any Hammer Horror
A Fistful of Dollars
The Good the Bad and the Ugly
The Longest Day
633 Squadron
Dirty Harry
Easy Rider
The Driver
Aliens
Close Encounters
Pelican Brief
Philladelphia
Mary Poppins
Fantasia
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Lady and the Tramp
Indiana Jones
Star Wars
Nightmare on Elm Street
Gone With the Wind
Good Morning Vietnam
Singing in the Rain
Buzby Berkley(sp)
Star Trek - The Motion Picture
Godfather
North by Northwest
Lawrence of Arabia
Bridge on the River Kwai
High Noon
There's a bunch of old black and white movies with no sound so who knows about those.
Ben Hur(Old version that is black and white)
Sister Act
Saturday Night Fever
Three Men and a Baby
That Eddie Murphy Movie where he and Dan Akroyd switch jobs...the name escapes me
Taxi Driver
James Bond
Terminator 1
Rambo
King Kong
Young Frankenstein
Independence Day
Return of the Jedi
2001: Space Odyssey
Top Gun
Shakespeare in Love
Roger Rabbit
Streetcar Named Desire
Armageddon
Lion King
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
Patton
Malcom X
It's A Wonderful Life
Sound of Music
Ten Commandments
Ben Hur(Charleton Heston Version)

There are many more that I have no clue about, due to the fact they were waaay before my time. Black and white movies mostly. Hope that helps.

I've been able to remember the following as well (Question marks mean I remember them as such. I haven't been on the ride in 2 years come 2004, since it was closed on my last visit)

"Trading Places"
'Beverly Hills Cop"
"Fatal Attraction"
"The Karate Kid"
"Platoon"(?)
"Cocktail"
"Young Frankenstein"
"Blazing Saddles"(?)

Sincerely,

I also recall clips from the following:

"The Absent-Minded Professor"
"Thelma & Louise"
"Lethal Weapon"

I hope that when this ride inevitably closes down for good, they make a DVD about it and include the end montage.

Sincerely,

I just remembered one more...

"Jurassic Park".

Oddly enough, this UNIVERSAL favorite is featured in a split-second clip at the end.

Subliminal plug for the cross-county competition, perhaps?;)
