SWW timing question.

How long do the events go? I know they take place throughout the day but do they go all the way until MGM closes for the night? Do they end earlier in the day? Do they do EMH during SWW?
Also, do they have any kind of closing ceremonies on the last weekend?
We're really excited to go! It's a surprise trip for our 5 yr old who is a Star Wars maniac! If he wears his Anakin Skywalker costume, do you think he might have a better chance of being picked for the Jedi training?
Thanks for the help!

I have a saved schedule from SWW 2003 and you can see that there are events going until about 6:30-7:00 (park closed in May 2003 at 9:00PM), so it's safe to assume there will be events going on throughout the day until about the time it's time to go get a seat for Fantasmic!
In 2004, when EMH was just earl entry in the morning, SWW events did not start until the normal park opening time of 9:00am, so I imagine SWW events will not run when park is open early or closes late.
I'm not aware of any opening or closing ceremonies. I think the reason behind that is so that folks can go to any of the weekends and not worry about missing out on something.
If your son wears an outfit, he will certainly be noticed and probably get some more attention around the park but it seems the selection process is fairly arbitrary. If you want more info on the Jedi Training, check out http://www.mgmstudios.org/obi.html That being said, I'd still tell you to have him get dressed...it's just more fun!
Let us know if you have any more questions

If I am going to MgM on the 27 of May, I KNOW THAT WILL BE STAR WARS weekend. Will the rides reflect that it will be Star Wars weekend or will thier be seperate activities and things for the people of Star Wars weekend?

The old ride that will be affected is Star Tours and WWTBAM when they have the Star Wars trivia sessions going. So Tower, Coaster and the rest should be operating normally.

Star Tours is the same ride all the time. The only thing that is different is the fact that the people riding would probably be mostly Star Wars fans (Cheering for R2D2, etc)

The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be ...unnatural.
