What's the food like at Backlot Express? Both times I was there it was closed. Bummer.
Backlot Express is arguably the best counter service option at the Studios

But why?

Great selection of food and the food there is pretty darn good and prices aren't that high.

I just ate at Toluca Legs for the first time and got a taco salad which was really, really good.

We usually eat our lunch (counterservice) at the closest one possible when we get hungry or what fits in our touring plan and what fast passes we get.

Maybe I'll nudge my friends to eat there this time.

Backlot Express & ABC Commissary are the two best options in the Studios for counter service in my opinion. The counter service on Sunset Boulevard is usually over-crowded (and outdoors), Pizza Planet isn't that great, so it leaves you a little low on options.

as a pizza lover, I was actually surprised that the day we went to PP it was actually pretty good. The salad left something to be desired (as I am not a fan of Iceberg lettuce and Ken's Dressing).

But the pizza surprised me.. I think it was because it came out alittle well done

I didn't know Toluca Legs had anything other than turkey legs! Good to know -- I'll check out the menu on my next trip.
