So I had an idea and wanted to run it by you all. I feel like the off-topic discussion is killing the ontopic discussion meaning I think it's too distracting and turning off other users. Perhaps a re-focus on the Studios is what we need to emphasize. So I had an idea to reduce the amount of forums....

- Combine the Walt Disney World Dining & Resorts forums
- Remove Sunday Night at the Studios, Anything Else & People Connect forums

Thoughts?

I agree with all of your ideas there except getting rid of people connect and anything else. Just make posts not count in those forums.

I like the idea of combinging the Dining and Resort forums; however, I wouldn't want to get rid of all of the three forums you are wanting too. We all need at least one forum for misc./non Studios talk. Instead of getting rid of all 3 why not just get rid of Sunday Night at the Studios and then combine the Anything Else and People Connect forums.

Combining the anything else & people connect forums simply mushes the two together but doesn't solve the problem of too much off topic conversation and not enough on topic.

I like the people connect forum if only to introduce people and say happy birthday once in a while. But the Anything Else forum really just detracts from the rest of the boards and I think if we eliminated that sort of off-topic chatter, we could really go back to what we're all here for and that's some good MGM discussion (with some general disney stuff thrown in as well).

Well whatever the decision is, I will be fine with. It is your forum Matt.

I agree the off-topic discussion distracts the other forums from flourshing. If that's what you want to do, Matt, I'll back ya.

I'm guilty of using the off topic items too often (see baseball references/cheap shots at Marlins), and although I would miss one or two of them the real reason I continue to come back is for the MGM/Disney discussions. I agree there is too much off topic discussion. Anything to cut down on it I would support. :salut: :fett: :)

I've decided to combine the Disney Dining & Resorts board and remove the SNATS & Anything Else forum. The People Connect forum will remain because I think it positively builds community. I'll be making these changes by the end of tomorrow. Thank you all for your input

Thats what I thought. If you deleted them, then it would have taken our posts away.
