This might be the first year (depending on hubby's schedule) that we get to spend New Years Eve at DHS. Has this park closed for capacity in the past? if so at what time? and do they do a big countdown for New Years? Any info will be appreciated..Thanks

I was at NYE last year at DHS. Park did not close to capacity. In fact, you could easily roll into the park at 6 or 7pm that night and get in. I wrote an article about my experiences here: http://www.studiosce...llywood-studios

I really liked NYE at DHS for low(er) crowds and the fireworks were really cool.

Thanks Matt;
We wouldn't be doing any rides, probably just the CoH sets and Mulch, Sweat & Shears. So alot of people get spots for fireworks hours before midnight??

Thats what I did. I didn't ride anything and just enjoyed the street entertainment.

I'd say you could easily get a good spot at about dinner time or so if not later.

I was thinking about NYE at DHS this afternnon before I read this post!!! Given we can probably go a bit later in the day and not worry about the dog (couldn't get a kennel spot last year) I think it will be doable.
